Sierra Swing, PsyD - Owner

Dr. Swing is a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist. She provides psychotherapy for individuals and couples throughout the lifespan, as well as offers a breadth of experience in forensic, neuropsychological, parenting, and general psychological evaluations. She has extensive experience working with the consequences of adverse childhood experiences and trauma, as well as seeing clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship problems, adjustment and life transitions, addictive behaviors, stress, chronic pain, health issues, dissociative disorders, and grief and loss. She offers an integrated and collaborative therapeutic approach pulling from multiple therapeutic modalities and empirically supported treatments. She also utilizes her Therapy Dog, Boomer, as a co-therapist in her practice. ​

Ashley Strauss, PsyD - Associate

Ashley is a licensed clinical psychologist who works full-time as a Behavioral Health Consultant at Neighborcare Health in Columbia City but also maintains a part-time private practice with Sound Psychotherapy & Assessment.

Ashley is an incredible practitioner who provides individual and couples therapy and specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, adjustment related difficulties, health management, behavior change, mood disorders, addiction, sexuality, gender, and the LGBTQIA+ population. 

Sarah Hays, PsyD, LMHC - Associate

Sarah is a licensed mental health counselor specializing in individual, family and couples therapy, as well as psychological testing. She recently graduated with her doctoral degree in Counseling  Psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, Minnesota with a focus in Geek Therapy.

Sarah is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and has experience in forensic, primary care, and chemical dependency/treatment settings.  Her specialties include geek culture, recovery from substance addiction, gender, sexuality, and the  LGBTQIA+ population.

Samuel Collier, PsyD - Associate

Samuel recently joined Sound Psychotherapy & Assessment after completing his doctoral internship and postdoctoral residency training at a local community health clinic working with an incredibly diverse and underserved population. He specializes in the treatment of mental health and adjustment related issues resulting from trauma, adversity, relationship problems, depression, anxiety, difficult life transitions, and career difficulties/transitions.  Samuel brings positive energy, sense of humor, and a collaborative style into the therapeutic relationship and has an incredible ability to help uncover and highlight greatness in the clients he works with. He strives to be compassionate, non-judgmental, and empowering and looks forward to working with you!
